Yvonne De Rosa studied Political Science at Federico II University of Naples.

Then she moved to London and began to study photography before attending a PC in photography at Central Saint Martins then a Masters in photo journalism at the London College of Communication.

 

Together with other colleagues, she founds the “24” collective that now boasts 13 years of activities and exhibitions in London’s public spaces such as Soho Square, Berkley Square and Trafalgar Square.

 

Came back to Naples after about thirteen years, in 2015 she founds Magazzini Fotografici, of which she is artistic director.

In 2007 her work Crazy God, published with DAMIANI publisher, was released in Italy, Great Britain and the United States and presented for the first time at Photographers’ Gallery, London (2007).

Crazy God receives an important recognition from the World Health Organization and is shown at the World Conference on Poverty and Health in Venice.

 

The exhibition of the Crazy God photographic project is hosted as the main exhibition during the International Festival of Contemporary Arts in Ljubljana (2008), as solo show at the Palazzi Delle Arti in Naples and at the Prometheus Gallery Ida Pisani in Milan (2009).

 

in 2009 she takes part in the group show organized by the Philips de Pury auction house of London “NOW: ART OF THE 21ST CENTURY”, the most exciting contemporary works of art, design and photography to be made since the Millenium.” (2009)

 

in 2011 her work Wish list is presented at the Maraya Art Center Museum at the AI QUASBA, hos-ted by the Sultan Bin Muhammad Al-Quasimi curated by G. Simionati (2011).

 

In 2014 he consolidated his collaboration with DAMIANI publisher, publishing his second mono-graph titled “Hidden Identities. Unfinished “with the preface by Sam Taylor Wood-Jhonson and in the same year inaugurates his exhibition at the Victoria & Albert Museum of Childhood. The same, two years later, will be hosted at Magazzini Photographic, Naples.

 

In 2016, the photographic project on the land of fires entitled Terra Mia is presented at the European Parliament, the Human Rights Commission.

Shortly thereafter, she will take part in a group show entitled Climate Smart Evolution curated by Hossein Farmani at COP21 (Paris). In addition to Yvonne De Rosa, the exhibition, which boasts participants such as of Sebastiao Salgado and Steve McCurry, was then staged in various public and private spaces in Mexico City, Milan, Bologna and Naples.

 

In 2017 she presents an extract from her latest work Albania available for rent during the FIX event in Photo London organized by L. Noble Gallery and later as solo show in the section of indipendent works at the Verona Art Fair.
